ARTICLING PROGRAM
Fogler, Rubinoff LLP will engage four articling students for the 2006-2007 articling term. The articling program consists of four general practice rotations, including:
Business Law (corporate/commercial, corporate finance/securities, tax and wills and estates),
Litigation and Dispute Resolution
Commercial Real Estate and Banking Financial Services and
Securities and Administrative (employment, labour, public and health law).
Our articling program is designed to expose students to each of our main areas of practice. The firm痴 size and resources, however, give us the flexibility to offer students the opportunity for additional exposure to specific areas of interest.
It is anticipated that students will complete the Barrister and Solicitor Exams required by the Law Society of Ontario, prior to commencing their articles with us in mid August.
Guidance and Support
The members of our Student Committee oversee our student programs. The Co-Chairs act as Articling Principals to guide and help you address issues and meet your educational and professional goals. They also act as a liaison between lawyers, staff and students.
In addition, you値l be assigned a lawyer who is designated as your mentor to provide additional support and guidance.
The Co-Chairs of the Student Committee are available to provide guidance and information to students and to regulate and monitor their workload. They also provide constructive feedback during the articling period and ensure that you are exposed to all of the elements of our firm's articling education plan, as approved by the Law Society of Upper Canada.
SUMMER STUDENT PROGRAM
Fogler, Rubinoff痴 summer student program runs from May through to August. Summer students are assigned to work under the supervision of lawyers in one of the four major departments of the firm.
While in a practice group, you値l work with a variety of lawyers and will receive the same salary as the Articling Students at the firm.
